Drain Field Repairs
When your drain field gets clogged, it can become a messy situation. Broken pipes and tree roots preventing wastewater from dispersing throughout the drain field are often the cause of this. Under these circumstances, the wastewater does not move through the soil, and instead rises to the surface, bringing with it serious odor and health risk problems.
Drain Field Maintenance
Drain fields are built to last a long time, but that doesn’t mean they don’t require some occasional maintenance. Properly maintaining your drain field system prevents small problems from becoming large, smelly problems.
Signs You Need Drain Field Repairs or Maintenance
1. Wet or Soggy Ground
A squishy or wet ground is a sign that your drain field is not releasing the wastewater correctly. If you notice this, call us asap so we can get the issue resolved.
2. Foul Smell
The most obvious indicator that your drain field is not working properly is a strong odor hovering above your septic system. The system should trap the sewage stench from leaking out.
3. Unusually Green Grass
The most surprising sign is when your grass is suspiciously green and lush around the drain field. If this area is noticeably more green and full than the rest of the lawn, you may have a sewage leak.
